Crediting MCSI Subjects to Your Degree

Macquarie University Students
From January 2008 the procedure for Macquarie University students enrolling in MCSI units has changed. Please read the following information carefully.

Macquarie University students no longer enrol in MCSI units via e-student.  All you need to do is complete the MCSI enrolment form.

You can still get credit for MCSI units towards your Macquarie University undergraduate degree.  You can do this by completing a "Credit for Previous Studies Request", which is attached to the MCSI enrolment form.

At the end of the teaching period, MCSI will submit this request form with a transcript showing your grade/s on your behalf.  This will be added to your Macquarie University transcript as 3 credit points of General Credit for each successfully completed MCSI unit. (Note: MCSI 132 & 133 are 1 credit point units only).

If you wish to apply for credit for any MCSI units on an individual basis you may do so following the procedures set out by Macquarie University at:  http://www.student.mq.edu.au/enrol/undergrad/new/index.htm

Students at Universities other than Macquarie
You can enrol in subjects offered by MCSI as a Cross-institutional student.  Download the cross-institutional enrolment form and take it to your faculty at your home institution for approval.

Enrolment Steps for Not-for-Credit Students

Any MCSI unit can be undertaken on a not-for credit basis. This allows participants to join MCSI classes but does not require you to complete assessment. Not for credit students can be issued with a Statement of Participation on the completion of the unit.

To enrol as a not-for-credit student simply complete an MCSI enrolment form. We will send you confirmation of your enrolment and information about the unit prior to commencement of classes.
