Not for credit study

You can take any subjects offered by MCSI on a "not-for-credit" basis, for personal interest and development.  Classes are open to people of any age or background.

By enrolling as a not-for-credit student you can participate in the learning process without the requirements of submitting assessment or completing exams. Not-for-credit students do not receive a grade for the subject and cannot count subjects taken on a not-for-credit basis towards a degree program.

Not-for-credit students get all the benefits offered by MCSI classes:

  • university qualified Christian lectures with a passion for 'everyday life'
  • interactive class experience in small classes of 10-30 students
  • flexible timing - evening/day or holiday options, also online subjects available

Fees for subjects taken on a not-for-credit basis are 50% of the "for credit" rate.  In 2008 the not-for-credit rate is $550 per subject.

How many classes do I have to attend?

Not-for-credit students attend the same classes as "for credit" students.  Semester length subjects have 13 weeks of classes, at 3 hours per week.  (Total 39 hours).

Vacation intensive subjects also involve 36-39 hours of classes, usually held over a 1-2 week period.

Can study I online as a not-for-credit student?

Yes, you can also enrol on online subjects on a not-for-credit basis.  This means that you can study from your own home and do not need to attend face to face classes.
