Postgraduate Studies for Teachers

A number of units in Christian education are offered for teachers who wish to extend their knowledge and gain further qualification in Christian Studies.  Find out more.

Coursework Degrees and Diplomas

The coursework degrees and diplomas aim to equip graduates in non-theological disciplines with the theological and other understandings and skills needed to apply a Christian perspective and commitment to their life in the world, including their professional and vocational life, and are designed to integrate theological reflection with the particular occupational and/or life interests of students.

Graduates of the courses will normally continue in their chosen secular professions but will have understandings and skills to integrate these with their Christian perspective and commitment. Depending on the subjects taken, a graduate might be expected to participate as a member of a church educational or pastoral ministry team under the leadership of a well-qualified practitioner. This course consists of both Macquarie University approved units, offered by MCSI and Australian College of Theology-accredited units.

Research  Degrees

The research degrees aim to equip graduates with research skills in theology and other disciplines related to Christian Studies. Graduates might teach, supervise research students and carry out further research in theological colleges and universities.
