Over the years MCSI attracted a wonderful group of high calibre lecturers, tutors and mentors who were dedicated to the vision of helping students to integrate faith with their university studies and with all of life.
It was in the MCSI classes that the real "action" of MCSI happened. In face to face lectures, seminars, intensive workshops and online learning experiences, students and teachers worked together to figure out how the age old truths of Christianity and the words and principles of the Bible could be applied to a fascinatingly diverse range of topics.
MCSI students could choose subjects in areas such as: Sex, Money & Friendship, Popular Culture, Politics & Ethics, Work & Vocation, Everyday Spirituality, Family, Business, Aged Care Management, Worldviews, Values in Education, Counselling theory and techniques, Science, Curriculum & Pedagogy, Justice & Social Change, World Religions, Teaching in Community, Media & Journalism, Business Ethics, as well as the more "standard" Bible Overview and Theology subjects ..... but nothing that MCSI did could really be called standard!
Over its ten years of offering classes MCSI taught more than 1400 students. Of these 1150 were undegraduate students taking Christian Studies as part of a degree program, 65 were postgraduate students and 200 were audit students who enrolled for thier own personal spiritual enrichment.
